Absolute linear encoder with graduation tracks at 0° and 90°

Multidimensional measurement

The Dplus encoders from HEIDENHAIN provide feedback for multiple degrees of freedom along a single axis. This technology allows errors in one axis to be measured and compensated for in a neighboring one. 

High travel speeds

LIC linear encoders stay accurate at very high travel speeds. Measuring steps of down to 1 nm at up to 600 m/mm are possible. High contamination immunity makes their absolute position feedback exceptionally reliable. 

Innovative graduation structures

The graduation carrier of this encoder contains two separate, orthogonally aligned graduation tracks. Feedback for the second direction of motion can thereby be obtained along the entire measuring length. 

Multiple degrees of freedom

With two scanning heads and the two separate graduation tracks of a Dplus encoder, feedback in up to three degrees of freedom is possible within a compact form factor, thereby simplifying complex measurement challenges.

Resistant to contamination

A large scanning field makes these encoders highly resistant to contamination. Contamination on the measuring standard has only a minimal effect on signal quality. Reliable feedback is therefore ensured.

Flexible integration

The LIC 4100 Dplus absolute encoder uses two conventional scanning heads from the LIC 4100 and LIC 2100 encoder series, thus connecting with EnDat, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, and Yaskawa interfaces.
